Wyatt Crane & Rigging Company performs a wide variety of tasks with our cranes.
See some of our projects below and the solutions we provided our satisfied customers.
Situation: This was a tricky one. Tight quarters and very little tolerance for error.
Solution: Using one of our smaller cranes, our operator was able to tread the needle placing a tank in between two refinery structures with 3 inches to spare. All of this, AND a tight time constraint.
Situation:Arch sculpture consisting of two pieces weighing 26,000 lbs and 60 feet tall measuring 8’ x 3’ at the base narrowing to 16 inches in the middle of the sculpture and then bowed out to about 5 feet at the top had to be set in the middle of a small roundabout at the Centerra Auto Mall — a busy Loveland shopping center.
Solution: To address the site issue a Tadano ATF-160G was utilized because of its rear steering feature which facilitated access to the roundabout. The major factor in lifting something of this unusual design is the center of gravity. A rolling block system was utilized to permit getting the CG before each piece was lifted into place.
Situation:Set a 60,000 lb canopy onto a historical gas station that had been relocated in Longmont, Colorado.
Solution: Utilize a 90 ton crane with spreader bars to lift the canopy into position.
Situation:Relocate a 139 ton tank measuring 125 feet in length several hundred yards from a storage yard over unstable ground and set onto concrete pedestals.
Solution: Utilize two 200-ton cranes to load tank onto a specialized trailer utilizing mats to create a road to insure stability during transport.
Situation:After 4 years in the planning by a chemical plant a multi-million dollar titanium NH3 basket container was flown in from Sweden and after the old unit was removed it was to be installed during a shut down. Time was of the essence in order for the plant to be operational at the end of the scheduled shut down.
Solution: Utilize a 200 ton crane operated 24 hours a day for 28 consecutive days to complete the project on time.
Situation:The Estes Park Memorial Observatory non-profit organization needed the dome lifted onto their new facility.
Solution: Wyatt Crane & Rigging Company donated a 30 ton boom truck with operator to set the dome into place.
